Bhopal MP Pragya Singh Thakur has slammed SpiceJet over
"ill treatment" by the airline's staff on a flight from Delhi to
Bhopal. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader lodged a complaint with the
Raja Bhoj Airport director against the private carrier after alighting from
flight SG 2489 from Delhi. Pragya Thakur had an argument with angry passengers
over her seating arrangement. Angry passengers had an argument with BJP MP
Pragya Thakur inside an aircraft. Thakur had booked seat 1A but the aircraft
had the front row earmarked for emergency seating. The airline claimed they
were unaware of Thakur being a wheelchair passenger as she had not done the
booking through the airline. The confusion led to the Delhi Bhopal flight being
delayed by 45 minutes on Saturday.
