Senior diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla has been appointed as
a new foreign secretary. On Monday, the
Narendra Modi government has given consent to the appointment of Indian
ambassador to the United States. Harsh
Vardhan Shringla has replaced Vijay Gokhale. He is the 33rd foreign
secretary of the country. According to
the sources of government officials, he will take control of his post from the
next month that is on January 28, 2020.
