On Thursday Nabaneeta Dev Sen who is a renowned novelist and
academic has passed away at her residence in South Calcutta. She died at the
age of 81. She was suffering from cancer. Her lightheartedness, wide experience
of life and her distinct way of expressing rhythms are obvious in her work.
Some of the popular works of Nabaneeta Dev Sen are Nati Nabanita, Srestha
Kabita, Bama bodhini and Sita Theke Suru.
