On Thursday, there are about 800 walkers had walked nearby
the areas of Victoria Memorial in order to increase awareness for diabetes.
Every year this walk is held to commemorate World Diabetes Day. Uday Kumar who
has prosthetic limb has been seen to take participate in the marathons and
walkathons. The band of Calcutta police have played kadam kadam badaye ja to
brighten up the participants during the period of warm up session before
beginning the walkathon.
