Screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan have proposed to build
schools or hospitals instead of constructing mosque on that five acres plot. On
Saturday, Supreme Court has cleared the path of building Ram temple at
respective disputed site at Ayodhya and ordered the centre to distribute 5-acre
plots to the Board of Sunni Waqf for the purpose of constructing a mosque.
Salim khan has said that “We must build schools, hospitals and colleges on the
five acre land. In fact the first chapter of our Holy Book focuses on the
importance of education. Javed Akhtar has commented that “It would be really
nice if those who get the 5 acres as compensation decide to make a big
charitable hospital on that land sponsored and supported by the people all the
communities.”
